Surely not computer gaming...I think that gaming is for young ppl, up to like 18 or max. 20 years olds.
If your like 25 30 or 40+ , its weird to me, that you are playing comp. games.
Maybe it is just me..

Maybe it is just me.. Yep, its just you, I am 29 JK is 30 Kristoffer is 31 Serra is 33, we all play computer games occasionally, and we more or less have at least one dominions pbem running all the time. I imagine most game developers play computer games and are 25+. I thought that most dominion players would be at least 20, probably older. There was even a discussion in the shrapnel dom2 beta forum if some of the content in dom2 was suitable for teens, the consensus was that not many teens were likely to play the game anyway due to its not so top of the line graphics and steep learning curve.
*edit so the target audience is old weirdoes *

Re: Tell us about yourself!
what I find really comforting, is not to find many old timers there (I'm 35 btw), but to find also many teens or young adults playing dominions.
so kudos to the youngers of this forum, for having interested in games which dont count on your frag speed, or how you handle the bunch of blurried sprites in games like warcraft III.
so much for the niche genre, Misters publishers.

Re: Tell us about yourself!
I was on vacation for 3 weeks, then on a road trip for 3 weeks, so I've been somewhat internet impaired. Now, with the power of my computer at my fingertips - I'm a whole person again! Heehee... it's silly, but it really feels that way. I was glad to be mostly away from computers for a month and a half, though. As a CompSci major/gamer/android, immersion in the analog world was quite refreshing! I suggest you all try it, if you haven't for a while; your life can change rather dramatically. Not to generalize, but this anyone who Posts in newsGroups will probably fall into this Category

P.S. No, it's not really me... I'm, um... Uhhh... a shape-shifter? You know, DomII should have shape-shifters capable of assuming the form of any enemy unit they touch. They wouldn't gain mage powers, of course, and could only assume the form of enemies of the same size class, but would (for the battle) duplicate all the target's equipment as well. This would be a fun counter to super-combatants

Learn some english? Did you ever heard about the 'edit' button? What's so wrong about the English here? "really" is spelled wrong, but that's no worse than my informal messageboard spellng. And I guess I'm not sure if its proper to use "Long time no see!" as its own sentence, but even so...even you said "Did you ever heard about..." so your Messages aren't perfect either.
You need to check your own sentences when you talk about other people's English.

Re: Tell us about yourself!
Let's not set expectations for anyone's english too high. English is my primary and sole language and I am going to make spelling mistakes more often then not. Plus, my big paws are not ment for the keyboard of my laptop - extra keys will be hit.
