Re: Asia Twist - Pbem (Starts Sunday)
Ah, fair enough, then. I hadn't checked the province names, but from the wraparound I assumed it was just the one land mass.

Indeed, I heard an attack on Darwin (Northern Australia) by Abysian troops is part of the new Baz Luhrmann flick. Timely!

Re: Asia Twist - Pbem (Starts Sunday)
"Players should email me their top 5 choices. I have not received choices from: Aethyr, Archae, Wokeye, Dragonfire, DonCorazon or Nikelaos. KO has said that he will play any nation. As soon as I have everyone's preferences, I can then send out nation assignments."
That was the word yesterday, so I guess some people still haven't sent their picks, or Pasha hasn't had a chance to check his mail yet.

I say let the late choosers be punished. Give them what other crappy MA nations there are, the last to choose should get MA Abysia, the crippled nation, or the nation of old cripples

Re: Asia Twist - Pbem (Starts Sunday)
also, i would like to vote for banning ashdod... seriously
unless KO wants to play it for some reason - basically, they're too much of a pain, and need at least some hinnom-like nerf

Re: Asia Twist - Pbem (Starts Sunday)
Is Ashdod stronger than Jotum or Pythium for that matter?- Possibly yes. Is it that much stronger as to make it broken?
I'm not saying it doesn't necessarily needs to be toned down. Maybe it does. But I'm not sure it must be banned from this game. This is a diplomacy game, if Ashdod takes a huge lead at the beginning a few nations can band together and stop it. Just like with LA Ermor or R'lyeh.

Plus, not all of us are very good at this game. Ashdod is not fearsome in every player's hands.

Heh. Apparently several players are vying for this nation -- Pasha will have to pick very carefully.
My nation picks are not particularly creative, but I've never played any of them in Dom3 MP so they should still be pretty fresh. I'm confident I can get one of them, at least.
