Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Sorry to see you go, but I certainly understand (and to a certain degree share) your sentiment.
Please PM me with whatever information you'd like to relay to your sub or better yet fill him in when the time comes.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Ossa has volunteered to permanently sub for Jomon.
In general, its not very common for a player in a game to permanently sub for another player in that same game.
I do think that there are special circumstances that make this an exception but since it uncommon I'd like to hear what you guys, namely alhorro and klagrok, think about this.

Victoria, subbing
PMd the few informations about Jomon to the sub.
You can switch the @address as soon as he confirms, I guess.
Cheers,
H.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Address switched.
If we don't find a sub for R'lyeh by the end of the week I don't see any choice but to turn it AI.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Ive been permanently 'subbing' for Ossa in Qwerty since August. So it does happen. As for a 2nd powerhouse AI not sure where I stand on that one

Well, Qwerty is different since it started out as a team game. By now all teams but one are played by a single player. So it actually turned out to be a one player handles two nations game
Would you prefer a staling R'lyeh?

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Staling or AI'd R'lyeh disperse 90% of the game intrigue imo. Personally I'd vote for postponing the game till we find a sub. LA R'lyeh is the most popular LA nation and here even a lime-green player can gain experience of operating lategame R'lyeh with a leading position in MP. I think we should just advertise the vacancy properly, maybe using some eye-catching posters with tentacles, naked girls, hordes of FREE!!1 chaff, insane cats and all the stuff :/

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
I don't think postponing the game until we find a sub is a good option.
The game is already hanging by a thread. What with two players missing and the TC AI running amok. Add to that an indefinite wait for a sub and you may cause the rest of the players (me included) to lose whatever shred of interest they had left in this game.
Hey, if you so care for R'lyeh you should arrange some incentive for the potential sub, like a free supply of blood beer made in Mictlan breweries

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Well, this game has been providing a very unique feeling of survival horror, and human-controlled R'lyeh could easily be the next evil super-empire that requires global nations cooperation to deal with. But if we set it to AI, the game becomes just another pretty predictable lategame snail.
