Reminds me of this one too:

Projected US ADATS on Bradley chassis.

Here it is! (I've attached the separate icons)

Since I am no authority whatsoever regarding the actual data of the actual thing, I'll let you have your way with the orbat entry!
I think you can get info on the RH503 autocannon on this Rheinmetall page.

I've also included a totally fictional improved variant (Marder-2A1 I guess) with add-on armor that makes it look slightly more like a Puma.
The winter camoes are hardly worth anything, I'll redo them at some point and repost them.

Hey guys. Could I move my what if thread to this one? If so can I do it myself or does someone with more clearance have to do it?

I recently came across a few Harrier development/replacement ideas while browsing over at greg goebel's air vectors website and decided to make them:
First the 'Big Wing' Harrier:
Quote:
The RAF had been considering in parallel a Harrier upgrade proposed by British Aerospace called the "Big Wing" Harrier. This involved a new and bigger wing made of metal and was also known as the "Tin Wing" Harrier. The wing would have been retrofitted to existing Harrier GR.3s and Sea Harriers. However, in 1980 the RAF evaluated the AV-8B design to see if it would meet their requirements instead.

It seemed like it would be simple to modify the wings of game's Harrier to produce this... and indeed it was. But no sooner had I done that then I stumbled on a proposed Harrier replacement denoted P1216:

So here's the end products (from Left to right standard in game Harrier, tweaked wings to give 'Big Wing' Harrier, P1216):

Couldn't seem to attatch the zip file so looks like anyone interested will need to open and save these two bitmaps:

I feel the need to bump this thread after finding this report online:

Default Re: Proposed/Failed Program Icon Submittal Thread

Reviving this with the M1 Air-Ground Defense System (AGDS) proposed in ARMOR Magazine in 1996:

LINK to PDF of that issue

Armament:

2 x ADATS Launcher pods with 6 missiles each, for 12 ready to fire rounds.

2 x 35mm Bushmaster Chain Guns, each armed with a 500 round anti-aircraft primary magazine and a small 50 round anti-armor secondary magazine for 1,000 AA-AHEAD and 100 rds APFSDS total. Can be elevated from 0 degrees to 90 degrees.

This preliminary design was done by a small engineering company that specializes in ammunition handling systems, so it appears to be something designed to show off their automatic ammunition feed system and how it could work at anything from 0-90 elevation.

So far, just a single DESERT icon has been done.
