Re: The Grudge-Match of Doom - (trashtalk/game progress)
Ohhhh, now THAT'S delicious reading!
Of course, readers, do not mistake what has been recorded below as actual truth. Rather, assume it to be the rantings of a borderline lunatic/genius whose erratic behavior (and dissemination of false information) is the key to his successes in battle.
Nevertheless, the image of Alneyan dangling from rusty manacles in a dimly-lit cell DO spark a mild interest!

Re: The Grudge-Match of Doom - (trashtalk/game progress)
Hmm, I guess I should countermand the command that, if Slynky is taken alive, we owe him a quick death. Instead, if he finds that being a prisoner of some sort is rather interesting, I guess he could face the same fate and thoroughly enjoy such a situation.
No matter what, it cannot be half as interesting as the pictures posted in a certain thread, which was soberly entitled "OT: DragonCon (for Primitive)". *Hint hint*
Oh, and in case someone was actually wondering: I guess I cannot deny having a slight drop of insanity in my brain (or whatever currently poses as my brain). No culprit or scapegoat has been found to explain this as of yet. But you could argue that "genius is the upstairs neighbour of madness" though (this quote isn't mine sadly).

Primitive, in case your fleet radar is faulty, or your commander had his head turned for a second or two, I should advise you that is NOT a dead fly on your windshield/windscreen, it was my fleet .

LOL
Then why do I have this nagging feeling these antiquated small flies was not your "real" fleet ?
After all you should have been able to do some research by now

It appears we took the wrong colony type and atmosphere (sigh... but sometimes, it's a crap roll). Take a look in Vintindrin and Zegrat (20 planets between those two systems and not a single gas planet in it). Stuff like that...even though we own more systems (or did...LOL).

Taking Gas is always risky. Can give you some nice huge ones, but one should never underestimate the power of the moons (for shipyards).
You still own more systems than we do, pluss all (most off) your Rock planets should be colonized by now and new organic ships are only a dime a dozen. Maybe I just should hold of relaxing a bit more

Re: The Grudge-Match of Doom - (trashtalk/game progress)
On a more serious note...hey, Alneyan, remember the problems we had doing gifts and trades in the match with Gecko and (Grand) Master B.? Well, it's happened 4 or 5 times now in this game . I don't mind being horsewhipped by you guys but there's no need for the game to jump into the fray as well!
So, how's trading/gifting going for you guys? Any similar problems?

No such problem this time around. Do you make and accept trades as the very Last thing in the turn? I am not sure if you should add something to the default message or not though.

I made sure we did them the way it worked between us in that game. I go through the entire log first...moving ships, looking at fly-swatting, checking retro-fits, etc. Then I accept the trade. Then I work on production. SO, I put the answer (that I never change the text on) in the middle.

Re: The Grudge-Match of Doom - (trashtalk/game progress)
Thought the trade bug was fixed in 1.91
Changing the message dont seem to cause any problems. Since the trade bug was discovered I have always made sure any diplomacy is the absolutely Last thing I do before hitting F12. Never had any problems since.
