Re: server is down
Yeah Im not quite sure about that either. Boron still has his hordes of undead, which are annoying(even though I have ~15 demiliches) and Jeffr seems to always get back into the game with his f9/white centaurs. At least its always very costly to crush his armies.
And marignon must have a really huge blood income, not to mention that df marignon is probably the most powerful lategame nation, due to the goetic masters.
I have no idea what ygorl has, but he cant have that many provinces.
Im certainly number one in terms of power, with my gem income of ~150/turn, and I have the majority of the elemental royalty + the treelords. As for artifacts, Im missing some of the really powerful ones, like the soulstone, the sword of augelmer and magebane, but I own pretty much the rest of the important ones.
So I guess Im about as strong as Jeffr, boron and whollaborg combined, even though I dont know what Whollaborg has .

ooh i do love goetic masters. they're probably my favorite recruitable blood mage in the game...
fire, 2 blood, random, sacred, fairly cheap - what's not to love?

Re: server is down
No argument there about the goetic masters! The demon jester is also a worthwhile troop.
I wonder how Whollaborg's doing, though, not recalling seeing him posting for a while. Anyway, he's got a very formidable force, so there should still be a chance to stop Turin if you guys give it your all, meager though it may be. I hope your deaths will be slow and gruesome, you gangsters!

Nah Jurri is just a true sadist .
Turin you forgot the psychological part. Though i am always a huge hazadeur when i get the impression it is hopeless i surrender in mind. And this has influence on my playstyle too.
So i play rather like Wilhelm II than like Napoleon if i would compare me to famous historic warlords.
Wilhelm II was very daring too but when he realized it is in vain he surrendered.
Finally i know that you are a very skilled player.
So i am subjectively very convinced now that unless you would disband all your forces or let your cat play you can't lose anymore
So if we continue i will search a sub. Because my allies don't deserve a demotivated ally like me but a fully motivated one . I'll ask QM and Half if they want to sub maybe.
Sorry guys. It has taken a while but i found finally out that the only thing i enjoy about lategame is hoarding but that's impossible with ermor + CB. So i rather continue playing blitzes till Dom3 is released and won't participate any "normal" servergames anymore.
You may call me a hedonist

Re: turnaround is very slow
Well, my problem is keeping interest in the game because turnaround time seems to now be 5-7 days. It is of course fine when people have to go away for a period of time, but when people are here it still takes a long time to host a turn. In the beginning of this game we were humming, but now we are very, very slow.
Does anyone else agree or am I off base here?
If we are to go down, let's go down in a last blazing charge of glory! Let's not die of ennui in our camp

Re: turnaround is very slow
I would be very happy to see things moving quickly again - to see Turin's ascent or crashing defeat happen quickly, whichever it may be.

Re: turnaround is very slow
yeah quick turns would be nicer, though I must say that Im often the one taking the longest time.
Dom2 Endgame simply doesnt have the same appeal as the early game has. So I find myself continually delaying the turn until I feel like doing the micromanagement chores again.
Id appreciate going back to 48 Quickhost.

Re: turnaround is very slow
So, at least 3 of us (me, Ygorl, Turin) are for going back to 48hr Quickhost. I think that Boron is trying to find a sub.
Jurri, Whollaborg, is 48hr QuickHost Ok with you?
If yes, then I guess we have to get in touch with Chris.
