Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Sounds like an exploit. IMO its your call whether or not to use it.

Is there a thread on exploits? If not we should make one. ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
I've just noticed that we have scores opened now. The most interesting «random event» I've ever encountered (:
TC's gem income is stunning, it looks like our friendly AI has clams equipped on every researcher.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
That's strange.
I'll try to find out if we can turn them off, since that is part of the game setup.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
I've cleared them, which will help if it was just random weirdness resulting from the problems a few days ago. If they reappear next turn though, let me know and I'll go a-bug-hunting.

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Whats going on, I got two turns in a row 67, 68. I think I may have too many troops and have broken the game. Not my fault, I'm trying to off them in group batches. Drowning most of them but they grow faster than I can flush them. I think I will never play LA Rylah ever again. Its just too much staff work. I have a province with over 1000 scum in it. Its the launch pad to send troops swimming or to gate them to the front. ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Re: LA Game - Victoria - Running
Guys, there's something I'd like to share with you.
You see, after we caught MX cheating (What was it, 6-8 turns ago?) I had this part of me thinking what's the point of continuing the game?- But I figured hey, the guy was caught, his nation turned AI, how bad can the AI be. That's it. The worst part is over, its time to start enjoying the game.
Now, I realize I was wrong. The AI is extremely strong, not as a skilled human granted but still enough to cause serious damage. TC has huge gem income (four or five times more than I have for example), lots of provinces, many huge armies, many scripted SCs (tartarians for example) and mages.
I have reached a point with Patala that in a normal game is equivalent to getting to the end of the race and competing for one of the medals. I have almost completed research, have my own SCs, late game spells etc but all this is not enough for me to prevail against TC AI. Those of you who have spies in my lands have surely witnessed the Armageddon battles the AI is waging against me: sending armies of 300-400 units strong, the units being all kind of nasty summons (banes, frost wolves, spring lions etc) lead by anywhere between 5-10 tartarians and a cadre of mages raining deadly artillery while buffing with armies of led/gold, will of the fates etc.
My point is, I'm starting the think the game is indeed broken and was so ever since MX took the path of cheating. Two nations are at an extreme disadvantage: Mictlan and Patla who are like 30-40 turns in constant war against TC and IMO will take ages, if at all, the beat the AI. Then there's Ctis that has recently joined the war, low on income, it too stands to have a long long war against TC. The unfairness stems from the fact that the nations that don't have a border with TC were and still are spared this fate. This situation actually puts Ctis, Mictlan and Patala out of the equation and results in making the winner of the eastern war (likely R'lyeh) the likely winner.
I'm starting to seriously consider turning AI (I don't think someone would want to sub for Patala at its current state). I think the game is broken and the options are to either stop it, or continue in a pointless, hopeless war vs. AI while the "real" game happens in the eastern third of the map.
What do you guys think?
