Re: Andean Zorro - MA/diff_research/VPs - game started
I agree this game is painfully slow and feels dead but despite that everyone usually gets their turns in. I am enjoying it and think it could end in a relatively short time assuming 4 VP is the victory condition (Omni left it at 5 in his original post but we discussed setting it at 4 in the thread). But if people are burnt out or we lose Calahan who provided a lot of the fun in the game, I don't mind calling it.

Re: Andean Zorro - MA/diff_research/VPs - game started
AZ players -
Shall we vote:
1. Call the game now
2. Look for a sub for Pan now
3. Put game on hold for a week to see if Pan shows up - then decide
4. Turn Pan AI and play on
Let me know - thanks. As for how long the game could go on, let me say that Pyth just forged the Gate Stone and is close to having 3 VPs (Ermor, Eriu and Pythium). Normally I wouldn't disclose such affairs of state but do so now in case anyone is worrying that this game will not end in their lifetime...

3 - If my vote counts.
I believe the decision mostly depends on Abysia, since without Pan he will be the only major power which is capable of stopping Pythium.

1. Mostly because I'm heading away for a month in a few weeks, which will be long before anything significant happens.

Ok, if Dragar wants to call it, and it doesn't look like Marignon is going to vote, I will vote in favor of calling it to. How shall we decide on a winner? I don't mind posting my last turn file and looking at anyone else who thinks they had a chance.

Ok, I'll wait a bit to see if Calahan or Janim would like to vote or opine. But barring any changes, we'll declare this one officially over in 24 hours.

Good. I've been a non factor for quite a while now, but Pangaea just never tried to finish me off. I haven't really had much fun in this game, I've just been playing because it sucks when someone goes AI. I'll be happy for this to be over.

Re: Andean Zorro - MA/diff_research/VPs - game started
Ok, game is over. Pythium wins, probably more a function of the map than anything else. Thanks for not going AI BDA - I think we had a good group of players but the hard research and sprawling map dragged this one out way too long. I have attached Pythium's last turn file in case anyone is curious.
