This is the main use for me... and then, I don't need to control every message like "the ship Xxxx has been built at Rove".

You're asking what the point is on a poll with a point, but not on one without one.

Like JLS, I find them extremely useful for fleet assembly points. I usually have all my space yards set up to automatically send newly built ships to one of my waypoint planets, which usually has a resupply depot, a ship training facility, and a fleet training facility. It really saves a lot of time.

I usually have 2 waypoints, something along the lines of "Homeworld" and "Forward Military Base"... you can see I don't like to fight multi-front wars

But those are the most fun! Especially when you create new fronts in several point in enemy space at once with WP openers.
