Re: When can I first use my God for fighting?
How quickly can an Awake pretender get the necessary spells and equipment to be useful (assuming you're not starting with a Wyrm/Cyclops/Dragon)? It seems like it takes several turns, at which point the advantage against Indies is limited because by then you have enough troops to do the work for you.

Re: When can I first use my God for fighting?
If you want it to conquer provinces from the get go, then you need awe, and a good chasis (prince of death, moloch, cyclops, wyrm, dragon, and depending how you build them, gret bull, manticore or great mother).
Even then, you need to start.with very weak provinces with most of them, untilyou build some gear for them (like a shield, a breastplate and some sword for Prince ofdeath or Moloch)
However: an awake SC have a lot of uses beyond conquering provinces in the first two or three turns. Defending against a rush, rushing yourself, or having one extra expansion party in turn 6 to conquer 3/4 provinces per turn is good enough.

Prince of Death, Moloch, Gorgon are good options too, but those need Dom9 for awe (cyclops will also benefit from it, but it's not "mandatory")

Note that it is absolutely critical that the Cyclops is scripted. Left unscripted, it will proceed to cast flying shards repeatedly, like an idiot, and rack up enough fatigue for serious injury to be a concern.

That's true for every SC with a magic path, though. A, say, moloch, will cast fire flies until he diew of fatigue.
SC always need to be script to "buff, buff, attack"

True. However, given that this is largely about newbies, pointing out the specifics of an example is necessary.
