Re: A Few (Really) Good Men: Guide to Ashdod
actually, any booster item for a path in another form will give the current chayot form that path. I'd say it's an exploit, but such things need to be banned when the game is being set up.

Re: A Few (Really) Good Men: Guide to Ashdod
Talmai Elders are not worse SCs than Adons really. And better researchers.
There is no doubt Ashdod needs serious nerf. Nerf of all times in dominions history. At least decreasing PD, making Zamzummites cap only, removing fortune telling ability and making Talmai Elders non-recruitable expensive summons.

It's mentioned in passing in the second post. See the comment about Chayot and negative magicboost.

They are worse thugs than Adonim, because they need more gear to get them up and running whereas Adonim have pretty decent gear built in. They have worse stats and cannot self-bless, although that's not a problem for Earth Talmais since you can just give them a shroud (Prot's not a problem since they can cast Invulnerability). As SCs the built-in gear probably doesn't matter, but the extra point of Astral/Fire/Earth doesn't really matter either in my experience: they're not *better* SCs than Adonim at any rate. Would you disagree?

I didn't say they are better, but rather a better option to recruit - you can always keep them for researching or forging in peace times. Adonims have what, 3RP?

Re: A Few (Really) Good Men: Guide to Ashdod
One more note about the Chayot "bug" and negative magicboost: Chayot are actually E4F4A4S4 with each form having #magicboost -4 (negative four) in three of the four paths, which makes them really expensive to Empower. Not that anyone would ever Empower Chayot.

True, if you have no immediate use for Adonim you may as well recruit Zamzummites or Talmai Elders. Plus you can use the resources saved to build up more Ahimans.

Re: A Few (Really) Good Men: Guide to Ashdod
Interesting note:
The Israeli port city of Ashdod was attacked today. (According to AP).
And there is an all girl band named... Nehalim.
Synedoche... weird eh?

Great guide.
I find it amazing that this city stands for more than 3000 years. Still bearing the same name. After being razed and rebuilt numerous times.

Re: A Few (Really) Good Men: Guide to Ashdod
Oh and your quote really tugs at my memory (I'm now in house of chains). I remember finding Q. Ben's encounter with the crazy duo quite witty and humorous. Can you please translate it to english?
I refer to this:
