I've seen some pretty huge fleets of Pyrochette ships... Some of them cloaked. Good thing I was using an expendable ship as a picket. Attacking that "one" cruiser that may or may not have been a minesweeper and finding about 14 other cruisers was NOT fun. Can you say "crash research advanced military science"? I knew you could.

the Pyrochette can punish you quickly if you don't get rid of them early in a game.

Well rounded AI that can kill human players in multi-player games.

I include them in every game I play.

Always a challenge.

Huge fleets as well.

They should be respected.
they should be feared.
they should be feared and respected.

Not that this is a spanish inquisition or something.

Just hope their homeworld starts near the rage or some poor human player ( at the other end of the map )

Master Belisarius thank you

I have modified them alittle to take advandage of the MOD packs I and a group of friends use.

It is a modified tdm 1.75 with tesco mod 1.6

Just added the extra levels on to their research tree ( still kept the original line intack) and since we play cluster universes (255 systems )I increased their colony ship building a little so they expand about 25% quicker. They always have 30 planets by turn 30.

Other than that I left them the same.

Well written. Enjoy watching friends fight it out with them.

I'm too easygoing to resort to genocide that quickly.

They use mines about as much as I do. That's painful. If I were going on the offensive, at least...

NO ONE EXPECTS... *boom*

Minefields. Gotta love 'em.

Thank you guys! Always is good to hear, when somebody liked your job!

Yes, if they have time/space to develop their empire, usually the Pyrochette can amass really big fleets (but most of the TDM races can do the same!).
Also, I think that the cloaked ships are cool... but remember that using cloaked ships, they're vulnerable against the mines.
