Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
Well, this is pre-Muslim Persia, so I decided they don't get the efreet/djinn summons yet, that'll figure into the middle age though. I'm planning on two mid-age Persia nations-one of divine Jann, and another of evil Ghuls, and they'll both get access to more or less the same summons.

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
hm. Djinn and efreets predate Islam, through. According to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genie#J...re-Islamic_era ancient middle-easterners saw them like the romans saw their genius loci godling-spirits.
Then again, I do not know whether that would apply to the Persians, whom were further east than that, but linking the "smokeless fire" djinn summons with zoroastrian fire-rituals would fit, thematically..

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
pd: maybe a spinoff of the nizari assasins would fit as well, for a later era. Some commander with the assasination trait, and the ability to spread heresy...

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
Well, I'm taking some creative license in separating the Djinn/Efreet elements to the middle ages, just because I want Partha to be somewhat divided from those elements. I think I'll use the Nizari when I make a Zanzibar nation, although the Ghuls will have quite powerful assassins of their own.

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
Added 3 summons, 2 heroes, a multihero, a capital-only Sacred, and a commander unit, haven't done the stats yet, but did some more balancing, removed Ophiuchi (unthematic for Partha) for use with another nation.

How is that reason for a bump? If anything that's a reason /not/ to bump, unless you're very shortly going to have something.

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
Some unit suggestions :
light camelry : bow/spear bonus against cavalry
camel cataphract : spear/mace bonus against cavalry
elephant : used by parthians and sassanid
heavy slinger protected with helmet and shield
winged lion : symbol of parthia
mounted crossbowman cataphract : used by sassanids

Re: Partha: The Ageless Empire.
Well, I shortly am
Infact, I've restructured them, and done some rebalancing of the units, and I'm currently, if gradually, posting graphics.
And thank you for the unit suggestions, Spendios. Some of them might end up in a middle era, and the Winged Lion might turn into a Pretender, or something. I originally considered using camels and elephants, but I decided against them, atleast for this age, becauseI want the focus here to be on their horse-archers and extremely heavy calvalry.
