Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Ermor Death Dominion in LA was operating at only around 10% of the strength it should have. So if it killed 100 pop per turn before, it now kills 1000.
As far as Gath, you guys are going to have to wait for the next patch. As far as I know, Kristoffer is doing work on it, but that's the extent of it.

Wow... I'm glad I'm not playing LA Ermor anymore. Sounds like a rather extreme change.

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Bear in mind that means Ermor's dominion is more painful for others as well. The change effectively makes them more extreme than ever - even more likely to get mass ganked in MP before they can ruin half the map,.. and yet who would want to invade that?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
hehe maybe there should be more incentive on invading Ermor later on? Now it's kill it quick or try it later and if you succeed you'll have about 1K pop in his whole empire

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
On the other hand, do you really want to get into an early war with Ermor, given that even if you do win, the territory you grab is worth much less than land you might have taken from someone else?

Re: Regarding patch 3.15
Gath was one of the five cities of the Philistines, a possibly Indo-European tribe which warred with the Hebrews. You might have heard of one of their national heroes, Goliath. (He'll probably be more effective in Dom 3, when you can forge him a black steel helmet and avoid those irritating sling stones to the head - although he's also a good example of the principle that heroes *can* be taken down by lucky shots from some untrained slinger fresh from the sheep pasture, just like happens annoyingly often in Dom3. )
They apparently had iron-working technology before many surrounding peoples did, although that may or may not be reflected in the Dom3 version.

Maybe, if you can take him out quickly and use those lovely death gems from his capitol.

In order to avoid another wait for the patch we decided to release 3.15 and not wait for 3.16 which would include some minor stuff brought to our attentition by the beta group.

Ohh nooo, odd patch numbers! Developmental patch versions handed out to the masses! We're all gonna die. Woe is me!

Cradle and Parganos maps are updated. If you have already updated them from the forum they will not be affected (I think). It is only the .map file that is fixed.
|
Actually, yes they are. Because the map files included in the patch have been tweaked some more to optimize the map and balance a few things that screwed it up. The first fixed versions were posted months ago, but there were actually quite a few changes to Cradle just before I sent it to you.
|
So have I to keep the "Edi's fix" versions of the Cradle and Parganos maps or Shoild I delete them?
Thanks
