You are the only person to report this particular problem and since winSPWW2 runs OK for you and the GameOptions program for both games are almost identical I would suggest you re-install MBT.

We have had "bug reports" in the past where a simple re-install has cleared things up

I have the intro turned off. Every once in a while the Game Options menu gives an error from the shortcut. I created a shortcut to the exe and the game runs fine from that. Restarting my computer always fixes it so I assume it is from some other program that is running or has run.
It didn't seem to be worth reporting.

I might have it. I d/l all and reinstalled. Set all compatability to 0. Working so far.

My 2 cents: If you use an Instant Messenger, it can cause very odd happenings (my email client refuses to connect for example). When weird stuff happens outta the blue, reboot.
