Re: Early game use of Succubus
When I was splashing out on items I'd equip them with a bottle of living water, wand of the phoenix and boots of quickness, as well as a few defensive items.

A subbubus with a lucky coin(safety), skullface(skelespam), bottle of living water and lifelong protection is a very nasty assasin/seductress.

Re: Early game use of Succubus
A Skull Earing is generally good enough to kill just about anything human or humanish, but more serious combatants won't be beaten by anything less than a powerful mage. That means that a big investment of items is generally not worth the time.
On a related note, in a SP game I once came across an indie province with Phantasmal Warriors. Curious, I sent in a seducer and got Boliver Wise, an Air 6 Illusionist!

Try to get quickness on there as well, so you can skelespam 10 skeles a combat round instead of 5. Reinvig's good as well, if you can get reinvig. 8 over 50 rounds you can skele spam 500 skeletons.

Re: Early game use of Succubus
While quickness on a mage worked well in Dominions II, I believe that in
this version of the game, it works a bit differently. It's fine if you
expect to slug it out in hand to hand, but I do not think it speeds up
casting at all.

Re: Early game use of Succubus
It does speed up casting through items. A W9 Helkarl with a Staff of Corrosion, for instance, does 3 bolts in 2 rounds.

It does on any spells cast by magic items.
