Re: looking for an early age pbem game
I would like C'tis then (would have taken Atlantis otherwise), I haven't played them in Dom3 yet, but I liked them in Dom2 - Hmm, or maybe my Aztec-friends from Mictlan would be interesting, too. Haven't really played heavy blood nations before.
Oh well, lets wait for the rules/settings

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
BTW, how about limiting sleeping/imprisoned pretenders to magic paths <9 ?
This should prevent the fairly often critizied abuse of high-bless strategies without taking hard hits on the scales.

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
Great...I am ready to go. I was going to be Atlantis...hence my name Ichtarian but if you guys do not want to have water nations, that's fine. I will be Ermor as my second choice. Let me know when we are ready to start. I have a good week to play before I have to go out of town.

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
Anybody having problems with the following "house rules" ?
1. No underwater nations
2. Helheim is banned due to the Helhirding-bug
3. Only awakened pretenders might have magic paths of 9 or 10

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
I think we should allow Ichtarian his first choice as Atlantis, since this is his very first PBEM game.
My preference would be for using easy research and the Aran map as a means of countering uber bless rushes, but if the majority wants only awakened Pretenders at magic levels 9 or 10, I will agree.
Game options? Renaming is probably one to allow. Other than that, the defaults are probably fine.

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
Aran has how many provinces (am at work atm)?
Edit: I don't know how effective easy research is as a counter to heavy-bless, but maybe with Helheim out of the race it might be viable. If you prefer no restrictions concerning magic paths and easy research this would be fine by me, too.

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
I'd like to try Kaisala. I have no objection to the proposed easy research or banning lvl 9 bless on non-awake pretenders.

Re: looking for an early age pbem game
I would love it if I could try out Atlantis (hey...I will probably get killed anyway) but like I said, I will be Ermor if not. Let's try to see of we can get started by 10-28 if possible. Thanks guys for replying...
