Re: What was your first nation?
Dom 3 demo - Agartha, full game I really like MA Man, tower of avalon. This is probably because I have developed a really good strategy with them.

Re: What was your first nation?
Dom-I - Atlantis, I remember playing the demo for many months befor I've ordered and how much, oh how much I wanted to recruit their best mages and units.
Dom-II - Pythium, I like their Byzantine flavor and their astral royalty.
Dom-III - Pythium, I think it wasn't changed at all but I like it no less. I'm a bit disappointed that they don't have an early and late ages. I am forced to change my strats of playing them due to the old age mechanism, but its actually not that bad.

Re: What was your first nation?
Dom-I, Ermor.... for like, the first 9 games
Dom-III, Abysia EA. My first time playing abysia since Dom-I. I saw the demonbred assassin and the weird lava-warrior replacment and panic ensued, "What have they done to my abysia?! Noooo!" then I started a middle age game and all the oldies were back ![](http://forum.shrapnelgames.com/images/smilies/laugh.gif) .

Re: What was your first nation?
Besides Atlantis in the demo, my first completed game (which I finished yesterday) was EE Ulm. They are pretty cool, though the lack of good priests threw me off a bit, and the C'tis dominion spread like wildfire.

Re: What was your first nation?
I can understand why Pythium doesn't have an early age, as they are a splinter from Ermor, but I don't see why they couldn't have a late age version. Maybe with a middle eastern/Turkish flair, since historically the Byzantine Empire was conquered by the Turks. The units wouldn't really be legion troops, but it would be a cool extension of the historical theme, and would introduce a culture to the game that I don't think it in it at present. The whole serpent angle can be kept in for consistency.

Re: What was your first nation?
Dom 2, R'lyeh. - Cthulhu F'taghn baby!
In Dom3 I first made a lot of test games to check out what kind of units and spells the different nations got. Then I loaded up Pythium... and promptly lost 3 Grand Theurgs to old age diseases before turn 10..
Switched the long term strategy with Pythium because of that, but I think I got them rolling now.

Re: What was your first nation?
For Dom 3, both demo and full version, it was Kailasa (EA) - the idea of attacking the enemy with hordes of monkeys amused me no end.
I haven't a clue what it was for Dom 2 (demo or full), or Dom 1 (demo only). There's a chance it was Ermor as I tend to gravitate towards dark/undead forces in fantasy games, but no guarantee.
