Default Any word on a UK distributor?

I've just googled and checked as many UK game stores as I can think of and none of them are showing that they anticipate Dom3 (or even that they know it exists).

It really is imperative that at least one distributor be found because importing direct from an overseas manufacturer to a UK customer is an horrendous option. Please let me try to explain.

Non-gift parcels that pass through UK Customs which are valued over 20 GBP (30'ish USD) are now held back at a regional depot. Occassionally Customs let some through when they can't guess what the package contains, but with security high everything is being screened of late and most of it is being held back.

This means that I would have to take a ninety minute round trip out of town to a Customs depot and pay over an addtional 20 GBP in 'import duty' to get them to release it. Add in the petrol for the trip and the total cost for the game would be over 100 USD.

So please make an effort to get a UK distributor if one hasn't already been found. Either that or clearly mark packages as 'A GIFT for MR ....' Of course a digital download would obviate all of this, but I appreciate the reasoning behind the devs descsion as to why they are not going there.

However, importing to me is a royal pain in the *** and too damned expensive. Good old HM Customs .

You do that, because that will mean Israeli Importers will import it over from the UK and I could buy it as well

PheasantPlucker,
That's another collateral damage of world-spreading paranoia, too bad...
But you could surely easily find an US resident here that'll buy it for you and send it back as a "gift" (you'll refund him through Paypal ).
That's what I did with Battlefront's CMBB when they decide to not sell the US version directly to Europeans...

I'm surprised Shrapnel isn't going with using GoGamer as a secondary distributor again. I discovered Dom2 via the combination of GoGamer.com and PCGamer magazine (a Trotter article).

I have ordered Dom3 and I live in the UK. R u sure the game will be delayed in regional customs? I was hoping to get it with in a week of release.

By the way Dom 3 for anyone in the UK, it is not as expensive as some people may think. It worked out at 34.60 pounds (that's with the best shipping option), most UK games at release r 34.99 nowadays (so slightly cheaper), $1.83 dollars to the pound helps . Consider Heroes of Might & Magic 5 was 39.99 pounds and well pretty, its not a great game.

dom2 was shipped, if memory serves, as a plastic-wrapped manual with the CD inside in a paper sleeve. Not much in there for customs to be frightened, I'd say, so if dom3 looks the same, even with a larger manual I'd say there should be a good chance that the game reaches you reasonably quickly, unless UK customs are really extra paranoid.

Well, they may consider it as an attempt to sabotage productivity in UK
