Re: A War for the Stars
Thanks for the praise guys. It took me some time to get up to speed again on the story game, but now I know where I'm going with it. When I get home later today I intend to advance it a few turns, then get one more entry done.

Re: A War for the Stars
Admiral Wiers' private log, SGY 2405.7:
Our research teams made several important breakthroughs this tenth. We can now mount anti-fighter lasers on our ships and shields on our fighters. We have a new model of shield for our ships which is twice as efficient as the first prototype, as well as improved Tibanna gas storage techniques. But the best news is that we may now fit our ships with high-pressure implosion reactors; these reactors use interstellar hydrogen as an auxiliary fuel source, greatly extending the range of a ship. Two of them would be enough to give any of our current ship designs near-unlimited range.
Research on anti-fighter lasers and ship-sized laser cannons will be a priority this tenth.
On another note, Nova XIII has launched from the Sector capital. She will pick up colonists on Gesaril V, then go on to colonize Prazhi V, a tiny fully colonizable world. Nova XIV launched a few days later from Berlin III. Her mission is to colonize Loovria V, a small partially colonizable world, before the Alliance has a chance to claim it.
Seeker II, now fully resupplied, entered a new system we called Nez Peron; Captain Stran reports four partially coloniable planets and one airless moon in this system. He will take Seeker II through the nearest unexplored hyperconduit, then head towards HolLastin (which should connect to the unexplored system) and back to Klozar.
We finally have all the metals we need, and more. We should soon be entering a period of rapid expansion; right now we are over-extended, with too few colonies spread out across too many systems. We must remedy this situation before we find ourselves in another war.

Erax, would you like your story archived in the SE.net Fan Fiction Archives?

Re: A War for the Stars
Great to hear the Empire is getting those metal stock piles filled up. Soon you'll be a fully pledged terror of the universe. Or you could play it differently. Either way i await your next installments
Narf, i have a worrying feeling that it has something to do with genitals

narf, that is f&cking brilliant! I had no idea.
So when we say someone is a f&cking genius, we are being literal.
