Gryphin, I believe Mephisto or PhoenixD said they would host earlier but I'm not sure. How about the following until everyone has time to play around with Gold.

Play until 30 days after the Last post that the Last of us has received his gold Version

No AI's
all current rules, techs, weapons, ect.
3-5000 racial points or whatever is decided
3 starting planets
all warp points connected
all starting planets same size
Midlife, Spirol or Cluster??
5000 space
5000 units
low or no Castrophic activity
pick your planet type and atmosphere
Med start Tech

what else

GT, I plan on Lasting at least 5 or 6 turns

A helmeted Mac desperatly digging bomb shelters
and stocking up on various brewskis and cutting back on certain ah, ahem, certain research endeavors, but not stopping altogether

Make a test folder and try the DOS method. It won't let you for reasons that will embarrass you for forgetting, (weell it did me, but I teethed on DOS 3.3)
I used the "Right Click / Paste Method). I was hoping for a faster way.

Our brave host (once re-identified) has my vote to cull through the various suggestions for a galaxy and then set it up. If they could then post the results and tell people where to email thier .emp files, we would be in business.

Perhaps I should take Pigs in Space. Miss Piggy could be my fearless leader and Kermit the Frog the Lord of the Fleet. Swedish Chef would be the Minister of Industry and Beaker could lead my research program. Not sure what Gonzo would do.
