Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
interesting first half. Our telecast changed from tsn to cbc. We have different sportcasters telling the game. Man there horrible. Sounds like The two Ronnies minus the humour and good writting. I want to mute it but the Koreans fans have great chants

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Well, at least we can accept this defeat with dignity and leave with good acomplishments:
1. actually won a game
2. got up to the semi finals
3. took down Spain, Portugal, Italy (And no, we didn't influence or bribe any of the refs.)
4. got further than japan
5. brought millions of dollars into the economy.
The defeat is just a wee shame.

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
So far 32 members have voted in the new name poll, the voting will end Friday at Midnight, hopefully everyone will vote by then. The 3 winners will face off against the current name since we've had a number of requests in this regard.
The highest results so far
The EEE & Whistle 8
The Colony 7
The Fluffy Bunny Cafe 6
The Grumpy Kitty Bar & Grill 6
The Krill Bar & Grill 6
The Road Kill Cantina 6
congrats to those whose teams did well in the cup race, some hard fought games... Everyone deserves a drink and pizza on the HOUSE's TAB, just let the Fluffy Bunnies know and they'll fill you up....

Re: Ye Olde Galactic Bar & Grill & Phong\'s Head Cantina
Confession
Some good Irish humour for you (even if you're not Irish). Enjoy!
"Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I have not been to confession for six
months. On top of that, I've been with a loose woman." The priest sighs.
"Is that you, Tommy O'Shaughnessy?" "Yes, Father, 'tis I." "And who might
be the woman you were with?" "I shan't be tellin' you, Father. It would
ruin her reputation." "Well, Tommy, I'm bound to find out sooner or later,
so you may as well tell me now. Was it Brenda O'Malley?" "I cannot say."
"Was it Patricia Fitzgerald?" "I'll never tell." "Was it Bridget
O'Shanter?" "I'm sorry, but I'll not name her." "Was it Cathy O'Dell?"
"My lips are sealed." "Was it Fiona Mallory, then? "Please, Father, I
cannot tell you." The priest sighs in frustration. "You're a steadfast
lad, Tommy O'Shaughnessy, and I admire that but, you've sinned, and you
must atone. Be off with you now." Tommy walks back to his pew. His
friend, Sean, slides over and whispers, "What'd you get?"
"Five more good leads", says Tommy.
