PBW v1.49 game needs replacement player

The Sons of Thunder player has recently (and inexplicably) chosen to withdraw formt eh game. The Sons of Thunder were, for most of the early game, in 1st place. They recently suffered in a war, dropping to somewhere between 4th and 6th place, but are still fairly strong, their "home" systems only recently having even been located.

Having thislarge, influential race go purely to AI control will IMO have adverse effects on the balance of power in the game, hence advertising here for a replacement player.

As my own race is, er, not in a state of peace with the Sons of Thunder, I do not have further information regarding their score, and so on.

Based on ... other developments, elsewhere in the galaxy however, I do not feel the positionis nonviable; in fact it should still be in a fairly good, strong position.

The game is the six-player v1.49-stock "spacewars alpha?", and the game is only now playing the 2406.8 turn.
