Twiceborn
Once you cast twiceborn and die, you can get an increase of death magic skill by 1, "trough death his understanding for death magic expanded" or something like that.
So, my question is, how good is the chance to get an increase in death magic once the twiceborn mage dies since it doesn't always happen?

Re: Twiceborn
The chance is 20% but a commander needs to have some level of Death magic to get the chance, AFAIK.

Re: Twiceborn
Don't you need some level of Death magic to get Twiceborn at all?

Re: Twiceborn
If you happen to get feebleminded along the way or whatever, you won't get the chance.

Re: Twiceborn
Incidently, does a giant being reborn by Twiceborn turn to some big undead, or to the regular human sized one? Never used it (altough in one on-going game I've cast Twiceborn with Mother of Serpents altough I haven't succeeded to kill her off yet ) on a giant, and wondering what the result would be.

Re: Twiceborn
No, the unit will always end up as Wight Mage (299).

Re: Twiceborn
Interesting. that actually makes twiceborn a better method of empowering than empowering, in limited cases.
Suppose you have an d8 mage. Dying for a 20% chance to come back as a d9 mage...

Yeah, that's exactly why I wanted to know the chances.
