New DesignCreation and Research files for Borg, Jraenar, Klingon, Praetorian, etc
Have been busy for the Last few months at work but have been play-testing away behind the scenes on the latest Version of my AI.
I have just posted new DesignCreation and Research files in the Races Archives for my Borg, Jraenar, Klingon, Praetorian, Romulan, Shadows and UkraTal AI.
DesignCreation.txt:
I have reduced armor and point defense a little to increase weaponry slightly. I have adjusted the values slightly to ensure that Other Abilities are better prioritised.
I have also eliminated the use of High Energy Discharge Weapons, relying solely on a combination of PPB's and Null-Space Projectors.
Research.txt:
As I have flagged above, none of my AI now research High Energy Discharge Weapons. This has allowed me to promote Shield, Cloaking and Sensor tech's, which in my play tests has made the AI more prone to launching surprise Cloaked Ship attacks. The Research tree for all races has been extensively revised to prioritise those tech's that an AI really needs to be robust.
I have played five play-tests of the middle section of the game on large galaxy-low bonus-hard opponent settings and have found the AI fleets much tougher than before. The Borg in particular with their special components regularly feature in the top 3 AI. Hope you enjoy this revision.

I finished a game yesterday, set to 200% of second place after 10.0 years. On 2010.0, I was in fifth when your TDM Ukra-Tal won with a score of 1.2M(!). They'd been MEE for at least two years, and exceeded the combined totals of the other eight empires in almost every Category.

The AI's have been designed to expand rapidly and build lots of ships (function of the Construction_vehicles.txt file).

Thanks for the email regarding the UkraTal and the CSM's. I hadnt intended for them to not use Seeking Parasites on their Weapon Platforms so I have issued a revised DesignCreation file (and the Shadows) in the Races Archive.
