Default bug? mouse moves map at control panel

I am unable to access the control panel or unit orders to the right because the mouse moves the map. The control box is still in map moving territory for the mouse.

I cannot get preferences to lock my settings to turn the mouse map edge off and dramatically slow down scrolling. Is that because the overall game preference won't work for a saved game and will apply only to future games?

Is this in Windowed mode or full-screen mode or both?

Vista or XP?

There is a setting in the Game Options programme's Misc tab to set the map scroll sensitivity which you can set to 0 if you want no mouse scrolling. Typically, that will be 12 or so for scroll sensitivity. What values have you showing there?. Try pressing the "Reset Default Settings" button if you have set huge values in there.

Cheers
Andy

full screen with win xp. will try your recommended settings. So this change is global and should work in a saved game? is there a way to get to these settings without having to quit a game and start over. preferences are the only in-game options that i see.

There are no options to change this in the game since it is something you set up the once when tuning your machine to the way you like it then leave alone.

Cheers
