Can't use "w-fire"

Hi, i am having some problems in using single weapon fire, in the scenario number 53 Villers-Bocage, Normandy 1944,German advance vs British Delay,with default OOBs, i can't fire the main gun with my tigers withowt also using the MGs, i press the "w" key, the menu appears, i pres key "1" to fire the main gun, but it won't fire, the enemy unit IS targeted, it IS in range, i can use the other weapons, the MGs is this a bug, or the tiger can't fire the main gun withowt the MGs, or my PC's a sh*t?

I've never been been able to successfully "W" fire either on the first firing opportunity - just won't work for me.

Second round, and subsequent, the "W" key works perfectly. Just right-click into the unit and disable the MG if you wish to make a sneaky attack.

Looking at the example save game, all the tigers are on 0 shots remaining. Zero, zip nada, zilch. You have used all your shot opportunities for this turn for these units.

You only get a certain number of shot opportunities per turn. These will reduce with suppression, firer movement and actually firing the weapon.

Wait for your next turn to get some more shot opportunities.

Meanwhile you can use the T or W keys to target things as much as you like - but the targeting routines will not fire anything with nil shots remaining. Nor will they fire if the ammo type needed is absent (e.g. out of main gun HE ammo when firing at infantry).

the game was saved AFTER the problem,when i started the scenario i couldn't fire the main gun only, but MG only was possible, i used all tank to try to find out what was happening

A save made after the event is no use for debugging, since you cannot recreate the problem.

So, the problem was random?

I believe also that you have to use the number keys on the top of your keyboard to pick the weapon, not the number keypad on the right.

No - if you have a problem, then I need a save that demonstrates the apparent problem, otherwise I cannot recreate it. I needed a save at the point you were trying to use the W key, with ammo etc as it was right then when the problem was happening, not end of turn after you had expended the shots in the tigers.

You may have found a bug. I'll need to run some more test to confirm it
