Default Need some help with a new map

I've just made a new map. But how do I define the provinces?

I have made a map with 60-70 provinces, but when I load the map in Dom it have identified 5-600 provinces!

What is the "key" to define a province? Is it colours? Shapes?
(I use Linux, so please no M$-applications...)

Any pure white pixel (255,255,255) is considered a province.
So start by replacing all of the pure white in your map with another white color (like 254,254,254), and then go over each province and paint a pure white pixel in its center.

Actually, what you *really* want to do is make sure there are no pure white in your map to begin with, otherwise the Dom map editor will have a hard time distinguishing where your provinces are located.

Then, once all you pure white is gone, go ahead and use a pencil too set to white to put a dot at the center of each of your provinces.
