Default Expanded Co-Op Games

So the allegiance game is progressing, 2v2v2v2, and the players seem to like it.

Thought for the future (spoke briefly to llama about it and should be possible):

2-3 players per team, x teams. Each team has 3-4 nations in a theme as done in allegiances (and probably other games) but instead of each player getting 1 nation all the nations are played coop.

New .2h files would be sent to a password protected central location, modified by any of the players and any of the players can submit the modified .2h.

In general it would probably work out that each player is responsible for a specific nation, but would allow better collaboration. You could even have 3 nations per 2 players or whatever and just use 1 nation as a resource slave. Ever play a nation and want to add specific qualities of another? You could love TC, but really want the functionality of Man's spy.

If someone can't get to a turn his partner could do it, or if there are complex moves its a lot easier to look and see vs. writing out 30 steps in a PM. Some players like micro, some REALLY don't and duties could be shared as necessary. Also makes it easier to bring in a sub, or if someone drops there may not need to be a sub. Sometimes its good just to bounce ideas off someone who you know won't use the information against you in the future.

It has the potential to be abused, but hopefully with the allied win condition it wouldn't. It would also probably be complicated the first 2 or 3 turns, but should even out.

Imagine a mega game with 20 3 person teams, simplifies diplomacy while requiring more communication.

Thoughts?

As a noobish, I could enjoy this, as it would be a great learning experience. There's no way (I am aware of) to go back and look at other peoples turns after I lose to them (for good reason), and this limits how much I learn from losing - I can observe a few key things. Some games (Supreme Commander, a RTS, for one) let you see every replay anyone else has ever done... that REALLY accelerates the learning curve.

As far as the cooperation, obviously it would help expand magic paths quicker, and might help more one-dimension races, but there's no problem with that. I wonder how often 2 players on the same team might change things back and forth, or how much one whole team would be played by the one best player.
