In dom 2 mystics were 180 gold, had 2s, and three elemental randoms. In dom 3 they cost 150 gold. They now have 1s, 100% sfew, and 50% of each water, fire, and earth. It seems to me that I can say they have been reduced in power. My question is why? I didn't realize mystics were considered too powerful in dom 2. Can someone enlighten me on this?

Arcoscephale is an ancient kingdom and this is part of its increasing decadence from Dom I to II to III...

Mystics were very very good in Dom3, as they had so much random they opened up all elemental paths, and also were able to reach 3 in any of these. In the end they could make all boosters, and then pretty any item plus lots of rituals and battle spells.
I don't mind them being nerfed a bit...
