WinWW2 campaign project
Hi,
I know it may be too early (or not?), but It would be nice if we could start a discussion for a possible WinWW2 mega campaign under the same concept.
The scope of this project would be to have it ready for release with he WinWW2 game.
If our Vietnam campaign project will turn out to be something important, then it would be ideal if a WW2 mega campaign would be included to the WinWW2 release.
So, what you think about that?
cheers,
Pyros
p.s who spoke about "summer vacations", or that was "2006 summer vacations"?

Hi Pyros!
You must have at least 3 heads instead of one!
I still have to read all the things you guys posted in 1 day but, how can I say no to this? Anyway we will see how the things evolve!

How do you know it??
To be exact I have 3 heads, 43 fingers, 2 tails, 2 pairs of wings, 4-5 horns (depends on the weather), only half the human's brain and ... now I think someone (or something) is calling me from the outer SPACE!!!
Yes... At last... the mothership has returned!
Good bye Humans... I am leaving for my planet...
ciao,

Good thing my wife allows me to stay unemployed for the time being and homeschool the the kids. Otherwise I could never keep up here.
I'm all for a WW2 Campaign. Any idea on what Nation we would follow. I think it should be one not done before by Matrix if at all possible.

Re: WinWW2 campaign project
I would prefer to see a more obscure theatre of operations or nation in a new ww2 campaign (and definitely not another US or german campaign).
Things like the chindits in birma, the japanese in malaya/singapore, romanians (in barbarossa, the krim battles, the Kuban, or around Stalingrad), fins (winter war or later), Italians in north africa or east africa (this last one would probably be my number one pick!), a non UK formation in north africa (Indian, Anzac, Free french, etc), greeks (against Italians first and later against germans and possibly bulgarians), or a chinese campaign.

I'm in for sure.
Obscure nations fine with me, but apart from the Finns good sources will be hard to find in Sweden I think - it's a heavy focus on US, German and British stuff.
The New Zeeland gov has a kick *** site though, with very detailed Bn level info on pretty much every unit that fought in WWII...

I am beginning to suspect that he is some kind of Hydra, even his location checks out correct for that
Why not make a Brittish/French campaign in 1940? A big fighting withdrawl back to the coast and finally over the channel? Fight a losing battle all the way to the bitter end, or try to change history?

Re: WinWW2 campaign project
Gentlemen,
From what I see there is more than enough enthusiasm to work in a parallel path with some WinWW2 campaigns,
So here is what I propose.
As soon as the Phase A of the Vietnam project is completed we will proceed to the phase B of the Vietnam project and at the same time we may start the phase A of the WinWW2 project (s).
I would also like to propose 2 things:
First, we may try to design 2 medium-size (thematic) campaigns for WinWW2 (instead of one) in order to cover 2 theatres of operations (one exotic and one European).
Secondly, we could take advantage of the map work that we are doing for the Vietnam project in order to include it into the exotic campaign.
Cheers,

Re: WinWW2 campaign project
I`m up for this. I too would like to see the more obscure countries in a campaign setting.
Lots of choices and so little time!

Re: WinWW2 campaign project
Obscure theater: Slovakia. I already had in mind a campaign for SPWW2 following Slovakian army in the Poland, Russia and finally in desperate fights of the Slovakain uprising. The problem is that the SPWW2 OOB was not too accurate and work on my own OOB was stopped during waiting for SPWW2.
Another one would be the combat ops of Czechoslovakian units in the USSR (first Bn, then Bde, then Army Corps). OK, enough about Czechoslovakia now Anyway, our Armoured Brigade in England fought mostly in an non-armor way during the siege of German garrison of Dunkerque, tankers got to accustom to small boats.
EDIT: Btw have to agree, I can't get how are you all able to read all the articles posted, I thought of myself I am a fast reader, but
