OT: Consecutive workdays
Just curious on what is the most number of days you all have worked straight without a day off?
I am in the middle of one of my longest stretches. I haven't had a day off since August 15th of this year. I have had very few days off this year as a whole. I am seriously burnt out since my average day is 12.5 hrs. (minimum was 9 and max was 18 during this stretch). I am also working with people who just worked their 106th day in a row today. Looks like another week or two and I *might* get a weekend off.
So, what's your longest stretch?
Slick.

Re: OT: Consecutive workdays
Guess I'll have to shut up since best I can recall is working 22 days on and 2 days off during Viet Nam (for about 8 months). So, I'll tip my hat to ya .

Re: OT: Consecutive workdays
I am interested to know what you are doing Slick. Isn't it illegal to make someone to work so much? It is in Finland, at least. Or, are you an enterpreneur and have your own company?

You'd never believe it, but I am testing a new reactor on a Navy submarine. Not what you would expect, huh? Don't worry, everything is safe.

I'm angry because I've had to work 6 days in a row.

Re: OT: Consecutive workdays
Six days? I used to work twenty one days in a row all the time. Thats one of the reasons I burned out and got sick. I do NOT recommend it. Two jobs and one of them being 12 hours day non stop for 21 days. The other 40 hours a week 8 hours a day five days a week. And the bad part was, do to Clintons taxes, I LOST money doing it.
That is really depressing. I am going to go to bed now and suck my thumb. (J/k) But bed does sound good.

Re: OT: Consecutive workdays
Worst I've had is 20 days with 3 days off in various places.

Heh, is this "a stress test" for new reactors?
Well, I hope you are paid enough for that kind of working period.
