2 weird results?

Sorry, it seems I should have went to bed instead of posting... I meant T'ien C'hi, of course.

If 'Confusion' is cast on enemy mage and he fails a save (whatever it is) and attacks his own side, can he cast a spell instead of trying to bash them? What if he is scripted? Will he follow it?
