Has anyone tried this gem out?

Check it out at their homepage. It is a turn-based squad-level PBEM tactical combat using sci-fi. It's developed by the makers of the original x-com. It is only multiplayer right now, though they've just released a new Version that is supposed to have some sort of single-player tutorial. You can download and play for free, but you cannot start any new games unless you pay. You must get someone to start a game with you. I've been playing for a few days and find it pretty cool.

I wish an engine like this was used for the ground-combat and ship-capture combat in SE4! That would kick butt!
