Default Give independents hints for site searching?

I found a province defence that was lead by an Azure Mage. Can I expect to find the Azure Academy, when I search the province or why the heck was that guy there between a bunch of ordinary indies?

There are sometimes additional mages in the indie garrisons, you will not find corresponding sites there.

The game tends to randomize sites, and province guards, and magic items, and name of province, and the type of population you will find there. Also size of population and number of resources. There is some setting changes due to what terrain is there but it still doesnt tend to match up items like magic sites and guardians except accidentally.

Pros and Cons. Maximum random allows for maximum re-play and the possibility of extreme surprises.

ON THE OTHER HAND even as far back as Dominions 2 people had a problem with that. They didnt want extreme predictability, and they didnt want extreme random (like Chaos maps). So a project was started (you're welcome) for a program called Semi-Random to do in between. There are maps such as Faerun which have special provinces. Or you can run any map thru SemiRand to have it scatter special provinces into the map. Such as finding a province named Trollheim with troll sites and troll guardians with troll type items AND when you do finally beat them you get a province which allows you to recruit trolls.

The great thing is that if a map gets old and you know where all the good stuff is, you can run the map thru SemiRand again to get it re-randomized.

SemiRand (and Chaos) versions of maps are downloadable at www.Dom3Minions.com which are re-randomized daily. And there are open games there which can be played online by multiple players. (I do NOT recommend Chaos maps for newbie players)

Credits: Edi for Faerun and Ballbarian for maintaining the SemiRand program.
