Control of arena's events
Hello modders,
I was wondering what's the easiest way to control arena events ?
For example to set a game with an arena competition every 6 months. And maybe also the possibility to cancel the random arena events to have only 2 competitions per year in the current example.

Re: Control of arena's events
It's not possible to mod events at all and no way to control any aspects of the arena.

Re: Control of arena's events
You can change the artifact received by the champion of the arena... CBM does this...

Also whether deathmatches happen is based on a map command, which is why they don't occur on some maps.

You can also use Wish to trigger them. It's a gigantic waste*, yes, but there is that level of control.
*Except for in Single Player, here you can make a bunch of AI suicide their pretenders.

In SP you can send a Doom Horror to Arena, kill every other competitor AND horrormark them. What`s not to like?

IIRC there was a game that centered on the Arena for the winning condition. Players had to design their champions before the game started, using a set number of design points, and then fight each other in the Arena after the game started. The game master used a modding script for this and created a GM unit which could insta-cast Wish and wish for an arena death match.
Somebody else will probably remember the game I am talking about, and I expect that the Mod to run it has been released into the public as well. Look there if you want to have this half-yearly arena competition.
