T-90 "Ghost Tank"
Don,
Had a game issue I've never seen before here's the info.
1. AI campaign in progress Japan vs Russia and North Korea (AI)game 17 of 21, Turn 26 (Went to 30 I believe.), Japan assaulting Russian forces and time frame now for game.
2. Moving on Russian flags, AI sends last known T-90 to attack my rear. Apparently it's hiding in the trees with an open view of adjacent road and clearing. Japanese Para Squad I'm sending in for support gets ambushed by the T-90.
3. Send in Type 90 to investigate, T-90 shoots and misses. Use target button and I see a red line go from my tank and mark the hex outline in red as well with never actually seeing the tank. I fire and it hits the "Ghost Tank" at about 650m no damage.
4. Mean while Mech Squad on foot is in position too see the T-90,
BUT doesn't see it. No red line w/MS.
5. T-90 fires takes out my tank, Mech squad still "sees" the T-90but no tank is there. CM already called in, takes out the T-90 in next turn but only flames appear no tank. Send the Mech Squad next to flame spot again no tank image.
6. Downloaded 5.0 yesterday morning. Was playing game this morning early EST for about three hours with no issues. No known programs running in the background, though I've played through when auto security scans are in progress in the past with only minor slowdowns at start of said program (MS Defender.) and this has been fixed a few days ago with the game ending before the new start time for scan.
7. Any thoughts? Expect it's just a game in progress hiccup, Game 17 was already started before I downloaded 5.0.
Regards,
Pat

Re: T-90 "Ghost Tank"
See bullet point #25 of the release notes. You have found one of the units that was upgraded or moved in the release most likely.
Cheers

Re: T-90 "Ghost Tank"
I can fix existing scenarios when things like this get changed but I cannot fix campaigns in progress

Re: T-90 "Ghost Tank"
Normally in the past when I removed a unit I usually renationalized it for that release then removed it in a following release just for situations where it might be used in an ongoing game or campaign but this time I was a bit more ruthless in removing unwanted units. The good news is the AI won't find it to pick in the next game in the campaign

Re: T-90 "Ghost Tank"
Andy and Don,
Thanks for your responses.
1. Understand temp. game glitch.
2. Shouldn't see this in game 18 (Though defending against North Korea in S. Pacific.) But no big deal if I do in my current campaign again.
3. Might be an issue of some sort if I see this in the next campaign.
Last game the Russians were on "roids" lost on points but managed a draw as I used two loaded APC's, SPAA and ammo carriers to capture last area, what a "BLOODLY MESS"!! Banked those repair points-TG!
Again thanks and have a great weekend!
Regards,
Pat

Re: T-90 "Ghost Tank"
Just wanted to close the loop on this since folks are still looking at this. This appears to have been only a game in progress issue. Played against the Russians twice more with T-90's with no further issues within the course of the campaign.
Regards,
Pat
