Default OOB errors...

Obat: 57 Bosnia-Herzegovina
Unit: 047 LMG section
Has FC/RF, should infantry have it?
speed 5, it's only a squad with more LMGs than normal, shouldn't it have speed of 6? they can't keep up with normal grunts

Obat: 48 Brazil
Unit: 320 Para-Policiales
the name says it all, a spanish name, on a portuguese speaking nation, class 189 MILITIA, there's no such organization with such name, if this unit was created to represent organized crime, druglord troops or whatever like this, shouldn't it have an adequate name or at least in english?(if my spanish doesn't fails me, policiales mean police), and by PARA, people might think they are paratroopers, also SMG only?it's hard to get your hands on SMGs here, rifles and pistols are easyer to find with criminals

Default Re: OOB errors...

I've made a note to look into both issues. However, in the case of the Para-Policiales the original name used for that unit was ParaMilitaries and was armed mainly with pistols ( and therefore next to useless ) but it was held out of the game by re-nationalizing then added in at some point under the name Para-Policiales . Why ?? I have no idea, but sometime around five years ago it was changed to Para-Policiales and armed with a SMG. I assume, since I have no idea what whoever added this to the OOB had in mind are meant to represent a quasi legal anti guerrilla anti terrorist "police" organization but "ParaMilitary" would be at least more accurate linguistically.

EDIT It may be that these are supposed to represent the Policia Militar( which fits quite nicely as a unit name )

Military Police (Brazil)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Policia Militar)

Military Police (Portuguese: Policia Militar(PM)) is the name of the preventive state police forces in Brazil. Each of the states of Brazil has their own corps of military police, which carries out preventive police duties, while the "Civil Police" carries out detective work, forensics and criminal investigation. The exact balance of the policing workload varies from state to state. For instance, in most of Brazilian states where the military police has a particularly bad reputation, its duties are much more limited.

Organization

Special Police Operations Battalion of the Rio de Janeiro Military Police. The state corps are typically divided into battalions (Batalhões de Policia Militar, BPM); the battalions are divided into companies (Companhias, Cia.); and the Companies are divided into "advanced posts" (Destacamento Policial Militar, DPM). There are also Independent Companies located in some smaller towns. PM's also maintain emergency services, SWAT teams and air units.

Each of the state corps make their own choices regarding equipment, uniform, coat of arms and anthem.
