Default New Trek Series & SE4

Has anyone seen the 'preview' of the new Trek series in TV Guide? The images of the ship and the equipment and the uniforms are great. No more of this stupid 'leotards' in space and dustbuster phasers! I think this Version of trek will be the most compatible with SE, as well! Let's hope they introduce lots of different kinds of ships quickly so someone can make a shipset!

I have not seen the preview in TV guide, but I have seen all the promos, and other indepth material on ENTERPRISE.

Overall, its going to be a good series I think, and I do look forward to it. At first, I thought it would suck, but then Scott Bakula joined on. He loves Trek, and will do right by the series and by the fans. As for SEIV, just hold on.

The ENTERPRISE looks like an earily Akira Class ship. For more info, check out www.section31.com

Speaking of the Akiraprise, I got bored and made it for SE4. I dont think it warrants its own post in the mods forum, so Ill just put it here.

I agree, the uniforms and sets look awsome and would fit Star Trek well, but I'm not impressed with the ship. Just looks like an upside down Akira from what I have seen. I think they should have made the ship have "TOS" qualities to the design with some "TMP" painting schemes and look. Anyway, I won't be able to watch the show anyhow since where I live, we don't carry UPN. Hope its a good series.

I was able to get my hands on the script for the first episode. I looks like they finally got a trek series to be proud of.

One thing I thought was funny, however, was a debate I saw in a star trek forum. They were debating why the NX-01 Enterprise looked better and more advanced that the NCC-1701 Kirk rode in.

One of the suggestions that I think is very valid is that in First Contact, Zefram Cochrane was exposed to the Sovereign Class Enterprise and it's style and sought to emulate it. Thus create a temporal 'ripple' that will change all following series over time. We are just now seeing the results in the first Enterprise.

It's kinda a weird, but if you apply that theory as cannon, then Paramont has opened the road to re-do all the trek series every few decades or so.

Does anyone know if the ship can land or not?

I know it has half-way safe transporter and two shuttles....
