Default Battle field enchantments

Is it possible to mod a spell like fire storm, that deals damage continously throughout the battle? I tried using copy spell with Astral Tempest, but I think the contious damge was removed when I changed the #spec value.

I'm not sure that copyspell works entirely right.

Heat from Hell, Fire Storm, etc. are all enchantment codes. You can add spells which have their effects (use effect #81 and put the enchantment code in the damage field - it should work without anything in the #spec value) but you can't create new enchantments.

The closest you could come would be a 5-turn cloud (add 5000 to the effect #) with an aoe covering the entire battlefield.

So far copyspell has worked ok for me, but I haven't really pushed it to its limits.

The thing that has been a touch annoying recently is that you can't do anything with spell flysprites/fx - you can do the explosion effect, but there's no reliable documentation on how to get the flying effects right.
