The (Indirect) Fire Bless for Magi - Huh?
Greetings,
No matter how much I stare at the indirect bless for Fire (+Attack), I just don't see how it synergizes with the caster, let alone with any Fire spells.
Am I missing something, or is the indirect bless for Fire really that sucktastic?
If so, i'd vote to replace it with something like +Penetration or something similarly thematic for Fire.
Either that, or have more melee ranged Augmentation spells for Fire. Essentially, Fire Augmentation for melee offense and Water Augmentation for melee defense?
Your thoughts?

Fire weapons is unthematic? How so? Fire is one of the better blesses.

It's almost impossible blessings will be changing this late in the games development. You probably have better odds winning the lottery because a change like you're suggesting might make you happy yet upset other gamers.

I believe he means indirect magic. The title should be changed.

Whoops, I do mean the indirect magic
Y'know, the one that increases Attack for each level in the Fire path of magic.
So, a F3 Mage would have +3 Attack. But how is this useful for the Mage?

Not all fire mages are old, burned out Wizards.
Some are Red Dragons. Red Dragons want to be sure they hit what they attack because a hit usually results in a kill.

Oh, you don't mean bless? (deletes post)
You're right, it generally isn't that useful, though there are SCs and the like with fire magic.

Most of the magic bonuses are not especially useful on most casters (except air, probably), but in some cases they're excellent. Pretenders being the most obvious example. But I am also pleased for example that my Archangels have big boosts to their attack.

Wouldn't it be a little powerfull ? Fire magic already permits a great mid game, thanks to evocation. Maybe any more advantage would be too much.True that fire mages getting older quicker than others is a BIG disadvantage.

Arch devils also come to mind, they make great anti-SC SCs because of their naturally high attack values.
