Default Linux - Wine/cedega problems

Im able to run winSPMBT just fine with cedega, but winSPWW2 will freeze up as soon as I reach the actual game screen. Any other linux users out there, who's managed to make this work, either with wine or cedega ?

I assume that what you mean by "actual game screen" you mean the "deploy units " map screen and that you can set preferences and buy units without problems ???

I would advise the OP to check that his settings in both games are identical as well (e.g. screen resolution, windowed mode, and the GDI/DirectX flag (if not in full screen mode)).

Also that both games have been properly installed, with all the patches applied and in the right order.

It may also be worthwhile doing the linux version of a hard disk scan/repair for bad sectors and lost clusters as well - just in case of something being installed over a bad sector etc.

Cheers
Andy
