Default Rocket artillery

I welcome all.

I suggest developers to increase destructive force (kill) rocket artillery (Katyusha, Grad etc.).

The basis:
Tests BM-13 Katyusha
"During tests the important feature of volley shooting by rocket missiles has come to light: at simultaneous break of several shells on the limited area from different directions shock waves, which addition, that is encounter attacks operate, considerably increases destructive action of each shell."

11 paragraph

eng link (auto-translated):
http://www.translate.ru/url/tran_url.../artillery/BM/

rus link:
http://www.weltkrieg.ru/artillery/BM/

As we see - at systems of a volley fire i.e. which devastate the stock of shells for some seconds - the destructive force of shells should be increased in comparison with usual artillery since it is proved on tests which were conducted even by development BM-13 Katyusha.

Yours faithfully.

Maxim, what I suggest is you spend more time playing the game and less time dreaming up ways to change it to suit your own ideas of what's "correct". **WE** consider the "destructive force" of the rockets to be fair right now. When used correctly they are quite destructive.

Why then at Italian Firos 30 (122mm Rocket) HE kill rating = 30. Weight of one rocket = 65 kg.
For example, at Russian BM-21 Grad (122mm) HE kill rating =19. Weight of one rocket = 66 kg.

Yours faithfully.

122mm 9M22U HE-Frag warhead weight: 18.4 kg
122mm 9M28F HE-Frag warhead weight: 21 kg

Now from what I'm gathering on the Italian Wiki entry for the FIROS-30 (not exactly the most reliable source I'm aware), the warhead weight of the FIROS-30 HEI warhead is 26.5 kg

This is substantially larger than the older 9M22U and still significantly larger than the newer 9M28F.

Just because two rockets share the same caliber and origins doesn't mean they share the same warhead.

Hi thatguy96

Here the link to a site of manufacturer BM-21 Grad. Here kinds of rockets are shown all. English link:
http://www.splav.org/en/arms/grad/index.asp

Well even if - to assume that figures HE kill are taken concerning to weight of a battle missile unit - that ratio all the same turns out incorrect.

This is getting ridiculous. If I listen to all the complaints the FIROS would have been removed from the game becasue the system was realy only introduced as a trial but there were lauchers available and *IF* a conflict had occured they would have been used. Now THOSE rockets are being used to justify an increase in the Russian 122 rockets ? Give me a break. !

*E*V*R*Y 122 rocket in the game has a 19 HEK EXCEPT the FIROS and IDK who put that in but it's not even set up correctly to BE a frigging rocket

So congratulations you found an minor error in a minor.....VERY minor, rocket system and it has been corrected

How so? FIROS-30 HEK is 11 more than 122mm (we don't know which rocket this was based on). FIROS-30 only has an HEI warhead (an incendiary capability generally gets a greater HEK from most OOB designers) that is 26.5 kg. The base Russian rocket, which is still in production according to that site, is HE-Frag and weights just over 8 kg less.

Both the 9M28F and 9M521 are 5 kg smaller than the FIROS-30 HEI rocket, which means they should still have a smaller HEK rating. The ratio might be off here, but it should not be equal.

Only the 9M522 is equal to the FIROS-30 HEI, and I somehow with the lack of space in the Russian OOB for more weapons, I'm guessing this wasn't the one selected.

It doesn't seem off to me when the Russian OOB is so packed there is one type of 122mm rocket (weapon 104 122mm Rocket LR) that has to span the entire timeline. If you change it to represent the new rocket, I will promptly complain that it is too powerful for the time period before the introduction of the 9M28F, 9M521, and 9M522. It seems to model the 9M22U just fine. Its a limitation of the game that you can't have all dozen rocket types.

Hi thatguy96.

Yes you are right - slots for the weapon at us more are not present.
But I spoke about a ratio of real weight FIROS-30 (26.5kg) and HE kill rating 30 = 1.13, at BM-21 Grad this ratio = 1. In figures of game it approximately 2 points.

Yours faithfully
