Has MM an internet security problem?
I noticed a marked increase of spam after I mailed several bug reports to MM.
Of course this may be pure coincidence but in the last 12 hours I received (only) two spam mails and now after I sent another mail to MM three spam mails within 30 minutes.
Has anybody made similar observations?

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
I e-mailed Malfador for the first time yesterday and I haven't noticed an increase. I get 4-6 a day that get by the filters, but I'll keep an eye on it and comment if I do see an increase.

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
I to haven't noticed any spam increases and I have mailed MM daily now for almost two years.
I have, however, noticed that my gmail accounts average about 80 spam a day up from 40 about two weeks ago. While I have never used either of my two gmail accounts to email MM, I have used them here and on other forums. I think some data miner sniffed them out and in return my in box is often filled with trash that I promptly mark as spam.

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
I emailed Aaron two weeks ago, last week, Sunday, and just yesterday in reply to his question. So that would be 4 out and 1 in. Even with mail going both ways I have not noticed an increase of any sort. Now that you mention it I have noticed a marked decrease since I had my paypal account deleted. Not that I am saying the two (spam mail and paypal) are related.

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
I've gotten a HUGE increase in spam over the last week or two, but I have never emailed MM. I think with the buying holidays coming up spammers are trying to cash in.

spam has soared last months, it's all over the news (well not all over it, but it did make the headlines here (here being Belgium))

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
I had 118 spam messages between 7am this morning and 4pm this afternoon. That's about 3 times my normal rate.
It may also be time to a) Use my alternate e-mail and b) Stop posting my e-mail at my website in a bot-friendly form.

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
Odd, I usually only get one or two spam messages per day. Must say, with some of the rates I hear of, I'm pretty happy with the low amount I get!

Re: Has MM an internet security problem?
We have a PhP code to encrypt email addresses on the website I work with, maybe that could be of use. At home I get maybe 2-3 spam messages a day for each of my addresses.
