Retrofitting
Is there an easier way to retrofit ships in fleets? Right now I have to remove the ship then retrofit it.

Re: Retrofitting
No. You can't even retrofit multiple ships at a time... Make sure to email MM requesting better a retrofit system. (se5 at malfador dot com)

Re: Retrofitting
yes, that is on the UI wish list. Also on that same list is the UI that will allow us to retrofit units as contemplated in the VehicleUnitTypes.txt file ability "Can be Retrofitted"

No, you don't. If you select (double click) the ship from the Ships List you can retrofit it w/o removing it from the fleet. It stays in the fleet.

Re: Retrofitting
Interesting... you still can't group retrofit ships in fleets, right?
wasn't this a UI complaint in se4 also?

Re: Retrofitting
Nope, SE4 had the "checkbox" system, where you could select mutiple ships in the sector and then select a valid design to retrofit them all too.

Re: Retrofitting
You could not retrofit any ships in fleets in SE4. You have to take them out of the fleet, then you can retrofit groups of them at once.
In SE5, you can only retrofit one ship at a time.

Re: Retrofitting
Oh, yeah forgot for a minute that we were talking about in the context of fleets. Your right, Fyron there was no UI.

Re: Retrofitting
Strange that MM wouldn't realize tis shortfall and fix it completely.
But I guess half a fix is better than an entire fix.
