Scenario Builder Manual
Is there a downloadable manual that documents the ATF/TSATC scenario builder? If so where can I get it.
There is no information that I can find
regarding scenario building in the otherwise very excellent users manual.
The online manual is minimal and parts of it don't seem to work right like creating event boxes/ellipses to add as victory objectives.
I designed 2 scenarios for use by the US Army a few years ago using the Steel Beasts game. I'd like to make scenarios using the ATF/TSATC engine but so far am having no luck and I just don't have the time to try and figure it out.

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Good question. Help for the ATF Scenario Builder and Power Toolkit (and all of their descendents) is available at:
http://www.prosimco.com/tutorial.htm
The web forum for BCT/ATF at StrategyZoneOnline.com is also a good place to get help:

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Page not found error...
been there done that.
There is just too much discontinuity of info that way.
I don't understand why there is no manual for the scenario editor? Something in PDF would be just fine. Something that could be printed. I imagine if there was there'd be a whole lot more scenarios designed by users than there are now...

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Jankee... the only PDF's I found weres how to flip a scenario and another one that explains the power tool kit. Can't find one that explains the scenario builder.
I'm not intersted in creating new units, OOB's or changing sides. What I want to know is how to build a scenario. The online instructions are just too inconvenient trying to switch back and forth while online.
Oh well...

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Thanks Gary, but I am looking for a printable manual. Online is unacceptable - too discontinous to use easily.
<sigh>
I suppose I'll just have to print the online pages one by one.

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Werewolf,
Here is the link to the Power Toolkit PDF:
http://www.prosimco.com/atf/tutorial...%20Toolkit.pdf
The only other thing in PDF is how to flip an existing scenario so you can play as the enemy forces, which can be found here:
http://www.prosimco.com/atf/tutorial/flip_scenarios.pdf
Now, if you want, you can always save the scenario creation tutorial as "available offline" and view it any time OR you can just open it in Word or Front Page and print it from there. I would take the time and create a PDF for you, but I can't right now...
So, if you are patient, my friend John Osborne will do it for me this weekend and have it for you some time Sunday.

Re: Scenario Builder Manual
Werewolf,
I'm in the process of making the Scenario Builder in a PDF file. I will have it done by tomorrow if you can wait.
See attacment for the first one so that you can see how it will look. Because of the size of the full pdf file, I will have to break it down. It will be from the Scenario Builder Contents.
 Create a new scenario
 Save a scenario
 Edit the Environment component
Edit the Maneuver Graphics and Enemy SITTEMP
 Edit the Mission Components
 Create an Event Box
 Add a Unit Package
 Edit a hierarchy
 Copy units
 Add a block of obstacles
 Add a block of holes
 Edit an enemy path
 Create a hierarchy
Add the Company Wave Attack mission
Add the Attack by Fire mission
 Cancel a mission
 Add the Position Area Mission
 Create a Faction AI script
Add an AI Time Limit condition
 Edit a Faction AI script
 Add an Event Box Condition
 Edit an AI Phase Order
Use the clock to test a scenario
 Add a Toggle/Cancel Toggle Order
Add a Battle Plan to a scenario
Add an OPORD to a scenario
 Flip a scenario.
