I doubt Aaron has ever read over the thread, but the majority of items in the thread at some point or another have been suggested by testers etc.

Aaron did state he was reading that thread a year ago or so. I don't know that there is any chance of new suggestions being added to SE5 before release though.

Aaron also mentioned that he has a huge text file full of ideas and what not for SE5.

With how far along the beta is, I'd highly doubt any new features being added, unless they're somewhat minor in nature.

The beta for SE IV was a very long process as well. People are always in too big of rush to get games out that they short change themselves and the game by rushing. Look at what happened to the video consule game industry in 82. Crap games flooded the market because big buisness believed that video games were a cash cow and quality didn't matter. Need I remind everybody of the hogpog eruption of crappy movie themed games like ET and Star Wars that virtually killed off the gaming industry back in the 80's?

The focus is on RUSHING the game out the development door onto store shelfs when the focus should be on producing a solid game that can hold its sales for years. I think it was Tim Brooks or someone who wrote an very long article a year or so ago about this.

Watch this music video. It basically explains the whole ET game thing.
