Default A Thank You and a Question

I just found this version four days ago and I love it. I've been waiting for this game since I couldnt get my DOS versions of Steel Panthers Modern Battles to run on my computer anymore. I thought Matrix Games was going to do an update like they did with SPWAW but they never did; so you can imagine my joy at finding this game by complete accident. So thank you to the Camo Workshop for putting this game together. Its amazing that I still get more enjoyment out of a turn-based squad level game than I do any real time strategy click-fest.

My question:
When my squads are under heavy fire and really soaking up the lead; I've noticed that they retreat towards the enemy. The enemy AI also does it but Im not complaining about that. That's just an example of poor training and morale .

BUT when my highly trained, well-paid proffessionals do it; it ticks me off. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Do I need to set a "retreat" hex as in SPWAW.

Thanks again.

Hi,

The general direction (axis) of retreat is dictated by the initial left-right side of the players, but there is additional code that prevents a unit from retreating directly to the same hex with an enemy unit.

cheers,
