outdated engines
An old problem that was said to be fixed still occurs in my current game:
Year 2436,5, and all my opponents still stick with Ion Engine 3!
Is there any mod out there that has fixed this?

Eagle,
I know for a fact that was fixed. And is currently working. you may want to double check your patch. Maybe you got the eariler Version?

Re: outdated engines
Actually, I went through the research files and found that those races that don't use High-Energy Discharge Weapons tend to not research higher levels of propulsion until much further down the field. So it's possible they haven't reached that point yet.

"I'd like to live -just- long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I would look up into your lifeless eyes and wave like this..." *waggle* "...can you and your associates arrange that for me, Mr. Morden?"

Re: outdated engines
They most likely haven't researched it yet. Moded races from ModPack research propulsion much sooner (works well with maximum weapons range).

Re: outdated engines
Is the Mod Pack still working and an improvement for Version 1.30?
Does the AI in the TDM Mod Pack now use resupply pods? I remember having played Mephisto's mod quite a while ago, when it had none...

Re: outdated engines
Yeah, ModPack is compatible with new Version (I am playing it already) and the only modification that needs to be done is to add cloaks back on carriers. You guys don't even have to reinstall modpack; you can just edit path.txt (again, because of the patch) so that is points to ModPack folder.
Also, since there are a number of changes in components.txt file (APB, Meson bLaster, Stellar Components etc.) you should copy that file from SE4\Data folder (it is where original components.txt file for Version 1.30 is located) to SE4\ModPack\Data folder (it is the one that ModPack uses).
Note that this is only if you can't wait for our update of ModPack, since we will be posting a new Version with necessary changes very soon to avoid any confusion.
