Can independent witches cure afflictions?

No, that's just misleading blurb. The indy witch has no ability to heal anything.

The Healing is referred to the healing type spells in battle that restore lost hit points of troops.

Well that is it really. In a MP game I have found the Motheroak and the witch you can hire has flavour text mentioning her healing abilities.

If anyone knows I can save experimenting with 300 gold for later.
